Exceptionally white fillers and extenders. The Fordacal range provides functional fillers for use in formulations requiring either elevated brightness or high chemical purity.

The raw material used for the Fordacal range comes from the waste flow from the offcuts of dimension stone, quarried in Carrara, Italy – home to one of the world’s whitest and purest marble deposits, rarely found in commercial quantities.

As well as its exceptional whiteness, the Fordacal range provides a cost-effective solution and, thanks to its use of 100% recycled materials, unbeatable sustainability credentials.

Milled to very fine tolerancesThe raw material is transported to our mill at Gurney Slade in Somerset, one of the largest of its type in Europe. Here we have the capability to mill large quantities to very fine tolerances, utilising state of the art air classification systems. The site has over 6,000 tonnes of raw material storage plus 1,000 tonnes of finished product storage in 10 bulk silos.

The Fordacal range is available in six mean particle sizes from 8 microns to 150 microns:- Fordacal 8, Fordacal 12, Fordacal 22, Fordacal 25, Fordacal 50 and Fordacal 150. All our range is available to collect from our Somerset mill in bulk loads, 1,000kg bags or 25kg sacks.

Wide range of uses
The Fordacal range of very white marble powders is suitable for a range of applications where purity and brightness are paramount, including: paint, food, pharmaceutical products, plastics, drilling muds, sealants and adhesives.
